Dr Claire Markham
I am a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Lincoln, currently working on a project looking at young people, gambling, and gambling related harm. My PhD was on the multiple representations and experiences ascribed to the rural pub. I have successfully worked on a number of different research projects and I have significant experience of conducting community based research using qualitative methods. I also have expertise in dealing with sensitive topics and hard-to-reach community samples. I am passionate about involving various groups in my research to ensure that their views and experiences are represented and that they can help inform the research to influence policy and practices. I have experience of publishing research findings through book chapters and presenting research findings at national conferences. I am also experienced in making research accessible to a wide range of policy makers, stakeholders, practitioners, and interested parties.
